The Hoka Mafate X is built for runners who want to go further, longer, and more comfortably across rugged terrain. Designed for trail enthusiasts tackling everything from daily off-road sessions to ultra-distance events, this high-performance trail shoe delivers a smooth, protective ride that excels on uneven surfaces. Whether you're hiking steep climbs or running flowing singletrack, the Mafate X provides the confidence and cushioning needed to keep moving efficiently.

At its core, the Mafate X features a dual-density midsole that combines a responsive PEBA top layer with a super critically foamed EVA carrier. This setup delivers plush cushioning underfoot while maintaining a lively, propulsive feel—perfect for conserving energy over long distances. The addition of a forked carbon fibre plate enhances forward momentum, helping you maintain rhythm on both climbs and descents.

The lightweight woven upper is designed for breathability and quick drainage, making it ideal for wet or variable trail conditions. Underfoot, the Vibram® Megagrip outsole with zonal rubber and 3.5mm lugs ensures reliable traction across rocks, gravel, and dirt. Hoka’s signature MetaRocker™ geometry promotes smooth transitions, while the Active Foot Frame™ keeps you stable when the terrain gets technical.

Whether you're walking rugged trails or pushing the pace on long runs, the Mafate X is built to handle it all with comfort and control.
